Job Description
Hiring a Crisis Peer Support Specialist to provide expert guidance and encouragement to clients struggling with severe and persistent mental illness. The role involves validating client experiences, promoting recovery, offering referral services, and facilitating discharge planning. The position also involves community outreach and assisting in navigating life transitions.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two years of experience working with behavioral health/substance use populations
- Experience in crisis or inpatient settings
- Reliable, insured transportation
- Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration
- Completion of Washington State Mental Health Division’s Peer Counselor Training
