APAC Quality and Compliance Engineer

We are a family-owned global manufacturer of construction materials and are looking for a Quality and Compliance Engineer to join our APAC Research and Development function. The successful candidate will be responsible for elevating quality and compliance across Knauf APAC's gypsum operations, developing and deploying a Quality Management System (QMS), and driving audits and data-driven decision-making. This is a full-time role based in Saraburi, Thailand, with estimated travel of 20-30% across the region as needed.

Requirements

• University degree in engineering, science, or a related technical field (Bachelors of Science or above)
• ISO 9001 internal auditor certification or equivalent
• > 5 years of experience in quality engineering, ideally in manufacturing and multi-site environments
• Demonstrable experience with ISO 9001 system and audits
• Experience working across multiple countries or regions and in matrix organizations
• Strong technical acumen in quality systems, standards, and testing methodologies
• Proficiency with digital and statistical tools for quality analysis (e.g., SPC, Pareto, root-cause methods)
• Practical experience with data collection and analytics platforms; Resma experience strongly preferred
• Excellent communication (written and oral); comfortable engaging from shop floor to executive
• Logical, process-driven, and pragmatic approach to achieving goals
• Ability to influence stakeholders, collaborate cross-functionally, and drive continuous improvement
• Strong organization, prioritization, and project coordination skills
• Solid oral and written English; additional APAC languages are an advantage
