The Category Analyst is a critical member of the Customer Development Organization that distills insights from data sources to develop business plans. This position leads activities relating to optimizing assortment and space management for assigned categories and customers.
Requirements
- Applicable experience in consumer-packaged goods industry (Food or Beverage ideal)
- Demonstrated space management software skills (JDA & ShelfIQ ideal)
- Demonstrated retail POS, syndicated, and panel data knowledge (Luminate, IRI, & Numerator ideal)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
- Ability to comprehend and sell space management concepts within the context of category management
- Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines within specified time constraints
- Ability to adapt in a changing work environment
- Tested experience with Microsoft Office products, especially MS Excel
