Requirements
- Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the department
- Offer product samples to help customers discover new items
- Inform customers of Cheese Shop specials
- Provide customers with fresh products and correct portion size
- Measure, prepare and mix ingredients according to recipe
- Adequately prepare, package, label and inventory ingredients
- Check product quality to ensure freshness
- Label, stock and inventory department merchandise
- Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies
- Understand the store's layout and locate products when requested
- Stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads
- Maintain an awareness of inventory/stocking conditions
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines
- Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers are maintained
- Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures
- Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment
- Notify management of customer or employee accidents
- Report all safety risks or issues and illegal activity
- Ability to work cooperatively in a high-paced environment
- Ability to manage conflict in a reasonable manner
- Ability to act with honesty and integrity
- Ability to follow directions and seek assistance when necessary
