Krones is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support and optimize CNC machining, fabrication, additive manufacturing, and machine assembly operations. The role focuses on process improvements, Design for Manufacturability (DFM), and efficient utilization of capacity, tooling, and resources.
Requirements
- Develop, implement, and refine manufacturing processes for CNC machining, fabrication, and assembly operations.
- Drive Design for Manufacturability (DFM) initiatives, collaborating with product design teams to ensure efficient and cost-effective manufacturing.
- Ensure manufacturing compliance with Safety, Quality, and Environmental ISO standards.
- Analyze and improve process flow, equipment utilization, tooling strategies, and overall capacity planning.
- Implement lean manufacturing and process improvements that reduce cycle time, increase throughput, and improve product quality.
- Specify requirements for new production equipment, review vendor proposals, and provide technical input for CapEx justification.
- Support equipment commissioning, installation, and validation, ensuring smooth integration into production.
- Support CPK Analysis of our equipment, implementing improvements suggested.
- Specify tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing aids for CNC, fabrication, and assembly processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in machining, fabrication, and assembly operations.
- Develop and maintain process standards, best practices, and technical documentation.
- Train operators and technicians on new processes, tooling, and equipment.
- Evaluate and implement automation and digital manufacturing technologies where applicable.
- Leads and initiates measures that mitigate risk within a manufacturing process alongside the quality engineering group.
