Do you have a strong understanding of the political context in Palestine and Syria and committed to support women’s rights organisations in conflict-affected settings? Then this Programme Officer position might be for you.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Rights, Gender Studies, Social Sciences or another relevant field, or a minimum of seven years of relevant professional experience
- Proven experience working with Women, Peace and Security (WPS) programming
- Demonstrated experience leading advocacy campaigns and/or managing advocacy-focused projects
- At least seven years of professional experience designing, managing and implementing development or human rights projects, with proven experience in project cycle management, including planning, monitoring and evaluation
- Strong understanding of the political and development context in Syria, Palestine and the wider MENA region
- Experience working collaboratively with local civil society organisations, coalitions, UN agencies, international NGOs and donors
- Excellent written and spoken Arabic and English; French is considered an asset
- Ability to travel regularly within the Middle East (including Palestine) and Europe
