Job Description
La-Z-Boy Incorporated is seeking an Upholstery Designer III to lead a multidisciplinary team in creating and developing upholstery and polymer requirements for new products, engineering prototypes, and product support projects.
Requirements
- Lead the identification and development of upholstery, panelboard, and foam requirements
- Create detailed piece and part models for multiple materials
- Independently research and implement changes to existing products
- Develop and execute test plans for new or existing materials
- Lead the creation of all necessary manufacturing documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Maintain and update high-quality design, part, and manufacturing standards
- Train team members on processes and standards
