Lab Assistant

Labcorp is seeking a Lab Assistant to join their team in Holyoke, MA. The Lab Assistant will receive and sort clinical lab specimens, prepare specimens for testing and analysis, and ensure all lab equipment is working properly.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3 months or more of specimen processing experience
• 3 months or more of medical or laboratory experience
• Comfortability with handling biological specimens
• Ability to accurately identify specimens
• Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• High level of attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask
• Ability to work in a fast paced production environment and meet established turn-around times
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
