We are looking for a Sr. Substation Protection and Control Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience in protection and control system design, cost estimating, and bid document preparation for commercial, industrial, generation, renewables, and utility power systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
- 5 or more years of experience in protection and control system design, cost estimating, and bid document preparation for medium voltage electrical power projects
- PE license from a US State (NC and NY) is preferred
- Successful track record designing Protection and Control Systems
- Knowledge of Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), NERC, NEC, NESC, NEMA, and ANSI standards used in designing substation is critical
- Experience with telecommunications, protective relaying, and automation (SCADA) is required
- Desired knowledge in low voltage coordination and arc flash studies
- Familiarity with Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, General Electric and Basler equipment
