Sanitation Lead

The Sanitation Lead has mastered all techniques and knowledge as a Sanitation Lead and Sanitation Workers, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and sanitized according to regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Demonstrates a full understanding of all cleaning, sanitation and safety procedures while utilizing appropriate safety equipment all times.
• Performs all daily cleaning and sanitation activities within the food processing plant on third shift by washing and sanitizing all types of equipment, parts, barrels, baskets, lugs and entire area in a timely manner.
• Leads by example and helps train sanitation workers to effectively and efficiently perform assigned tasks to help improve their knowledge and results.
• Maintains elevated level of knowledge of all cleaning procedures, USDA standards and chemicals being used.
• Assist in moving heavy equipment and food products that could weigh 50lbs or more.
• Reports any Food Safety or Sanitation concerns observed to management.
• Each morning, at the end of the shift, follows the customer Quality Assurance Personnel who performs a 'White Glove' Pre-Op Inspection to meet demanding Food Safety requirements.
• Adheres to all Good Manufacturing Processes (GMP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP).
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays, as needed.
• Consistently performs safe chemical dispensing procedures.
• Wears appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times while cleaning with chemicals.
• Performs all tasks safely and is a manner that will not create or pose a direct threat to the health and/or safety of the sanitation workers or any other team member.
