Senior Accountant

Lake Superior Consulting is seeking a Senior Accountant to support the financial health, reporting, and strategic decision-making of the organization. As a Senior Accountant, you will lead monthly financial close and revenue recognition review processes, optimize the company's financial performance, and prepare complex financial reports.

Requirements

• Lead monthly financial close and revenue recognition review processes in accordance with GAAP
• Support optimization of the company's financial performance and strategic position through P&L analysis, KPI reporting, and financial insights for leadership
• Prepare, analyze, and automate complex financial reports in Excel and/or Power BI
• Support strategic initiatives and systems enhancements, including ERP optimization and integrations
• Ensure appropriate internal controls are maintained in alignment with statutory requirements and financial systems
• Review and provide guidance on AP transactions, Payroll, Bank and general ledger reconciliations, Sales & use tax, and 1099 reporting
• Serve as a mentor and technical resource to accounting team members
• Assist with development of annual financial plans and monthly forecasts, including working capital projections
• Partner with leadership to evaluate the financial implications of business transactions, pricing decisions, and revenue/cost recognition matters
• Coordinate periodic financial and ERISA audits and support annual tax return preparation
• Support ongoing compliance with internal financial procedures and processes
