Editor

Dover Publications is seeking an Editor to join their team. As an Editor, you will be responsible for preparing book manuscripts and materials, overseeing schedules, and ensuring the editorial team meets its deadlines. You will work independently and accurately to edit and proofread printed material, ensuring that text and style comply with the Company's standards and guidelines. You will also help determine and check placement of illustrations and text on book pages, create project calendars, and manage freelancers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• 4-6 years of relevant experience
• Ability to meet deadlines, problem-solve, and coordinate with other departments
• Strong organizational and computer skills, including Google Suite, MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, databases, and content management systems
• Project management experience - required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a high level of initiative
