Responsible for the repair, maintenance, safe and efficient operation of all equipment under utilities and services including the boilers and steam system, refrigeration engine rooms (plant and cold storage) and freeze tunnels, working under supervision.
Requirements
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before management, supervisors and fellow co-workers within the facility
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, geometry and mathematics required to calculate interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, volume and all power engineer requirements
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
