Hardware Quality Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Hardware Quality Engineer to lead hardware compliance, testing, and certification within a highly regulated, innovation-driven industry. The successful candidate will drive compliance strategies, oversee testing and certification activities, and guide a high-performing Hardware Quality Assurance team.

Requirements

• 10 years' experience in R&D and regulatory compliance within the metering or energy industry
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related discipline
• Strong knowledge of Australian & New Zealand regulations for industrial metering and embedded radio devices
• Experience working with international and local metering standards
• Proven background in hardware reliability testing and compliance frameworks
• Experience in electronic/electrical hardware product development (highly desirable)
• Deep understanding of hardware compliance and certification processes, component lifecycle management and reliability testing methodologies
• Familiarity with SAP PLM or similar product lifecycle systems (desirable)
• Strong leadership experience with the ability to mentor and develop teams
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Ability to make critical technical decisions
