Environmental Field Technician

Langan is seeking an experienced Environmental Field Technician to join its collaborative team in New York City, assisting with environmental field work and supporting a dynamic large-scale construction project in Lower Manhattan.

Requirements

• Review, interpret and understand community air monitoring data and coordinate response actions with site contractors;
• Track and log disposal of excavated materials of varying contaminant profiles and import of environmentally clean backfill;
• Assist with conducting various types of environmental monitoring (water, air, asbestos, lead) using basic field instruments;
• Collaborate with other on-site Langan personnel (e.g., geotechnical inspectors);
• Operate and maintain various remedial systems, such as drills, pumps, electrical equipment;
• Assemble and maintain field equipment and systems; inspect equipment and troubleshoot as necessary;
• Produce timely and detailed service reports;
• Perform other duties as requested.
