Software Engineer I

Lantana Consulting Group is a remote, employee-owned company providing services and software for standards-based health-information exchange. The Software Engineer I will contribute to the design, development, and operation of secure data integrations between internal Azure-hosted healthcare platforms and external partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of three years of experience in building and supporting enterprise system integrations (preferably in healthcare)
• Hands-on experience with Azure services: Azure API Management, Azure Functions, Service Bus, Event Grid, Storage, Key Vault, Azure Monitor, Application Insights
• Proficiency in C#/.NET or Python
• Experience with batch and file-based exchange patterns: SFTP/MFT, file manifests, control totals, retries, and reconciliation
• Experience with data transformation and parsing with formats like CSV, JSON, XML, or EDI
• Strong SQL skills for querying, validating loads, and troubleshooting integration-related data issues
• Familiarity with regulated environments (and associated elements such as PHI/PII, principles of HIPAA) and secure engineering practices (audit logging, access controls)
• Ability to produce clear interface documentation, including mapping specs, runbooks, operational procedures, and partner-onboarding guides
