Job Description
LAPORTE is a consulting engineering firm seeking a Machine Safety Engineer with 2-5 years of experience to join its Toronto-based team. The role involves evaluating, designing, and implementing machine safety solutions that comply with industry standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or a related engineering field
- Member of Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) or the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) as a Professional Engineer (an asset)
- 3 to 5 years of experience in machine safety or industrial automation
- Knowledge of industrial safety standards (CSA, ISO, OSHA)
- Machine safety certification (CMSE or equivalent) as an asset
- Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and safety systems
- Ability to write detailed technical reports
