This position is responsible for preparing and serving quality culinary dishes on schedule and to the satisfaction of the residents of our skilled nursing facility.
Requirements
- ServSafe Certificate required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Some experience in quantity food production in a culinary setting preferred
- Knowledge of geriatric nutrition needs and experience with cooking for elders
- Ability to accurately follow instructions both verbal and written
- Impeccable personal hygiene
- Ability to read and write legibly in English
- Ability to hear machinery operating
- Ability to withstand the pressure of working in busy culinary environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures, walk-in freezers/hot kitchens, etc.
