Registered Nurse (RN)

The Registered Nurse (RN) reports to the Director of Nursing and delivers quality nursing care to assigned residents, maintaining or attaining the highest practical physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being. The RN assesses each resident, documents their health status and medical history, and formulates a plan of care based on ongoing assessments. The RN communicates with physicians, collaborates with other nurses, and documents accurate and ongoing assessments of resident status.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
• Must possess a current, unencumbered Registered Nurse License, or Practical Nurse License issued by the State.
• 1-2 years of experience as an RN.
• Ability to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to reach, stoop, kneel, bend, lift and move intermittently throughout the work day throughout the facility.
• Ability to work outside of normal work hours including nights, holidays, and weekends as needed to meet facility and position demands.
• Free of diseases that may be transmitted in the performance of job responsibilities during the stage of communicability.
• Ability to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset and at times hostile people within the facility.
