You are a skilled Journeyperson or Apprentice Linesperson who supports the construction, installation, and maintenance of overhead and underground powerlines in Saskatchewan. You enjoy working at heights, operating specialized equipment, and ensuring that electrical and communication systems are installed safely and to industry standards.
Requirements
- Journeyman Powerline Technician certification or enrollment/interest in a lineman apprenticeship program
- 1–3 years of experience in powerline construction (or strong interest with technical training)
- Ability to climb poles using spikes and rigging and to work from bucket trucks or man-lifts
- Strong knowledge of distribution powerline construction methods, tools, and safety procedures
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
- Class 5 driver’s license required: Class 1 or 3 preferred
- Ability to work at heights, lift heavy materials, and work in varying weather conditions
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
