Physician | Family Medicine - Faculty (LPS)

Legacy Community Health invites you to be a part of our warm and dedicated team as a Faculty Advisor for residents affiliated with the Houston Methodist Family Medicine Residency Program. As a Faculty Advisor, you will serve as a mentor and advisor to residents, helping them grow both professionally and personally. The role requires 70% clinical practice and 30% administrative duties, including meeting with residents quarterly, completing or updating an Individual Learning Plan for each resident, and participating in residency recruitment, Quality Improvement, and PICO projects. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, customer service skills, and experience in precepting patients of all ages.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited medical school (US or TMB-approved)
• American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) or American Osteopathic Board of Family Medicine (AOBFM) certification
• Texas Medical License
• Completion of 36-month Family Medicine Residency
• Excellent communication skills and customer service skills
• Ability to precept Prenatal care in clinic
• Ability to precept clinical encounters for patients of all ages
• Ability to precept the full scope of procedures done at the residency procedure clinic
• Ability to interpret in-office EKG and Spirometry results
• Ability to complete encounter notes in a timely manner
• Must be able to manage multiple deadlines and decision-making responsibilities
• Bilingual / Spanish fluency is preferred
