Paralegal - Children & Families

For over 50 years, Legal Aid Chicago has provided free civil legal assistance to people living in poverty in metropolitan Chicago. This paralegal position will work in the Children & Families Practice Group, representing survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, advocating for students, and defending parents against unwarranted intrusions by the State. The position requires excellent oral and written skills, strong organizational and information-gathering skills, and the ability to work effectively in cross-cultural situations.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree strongly preferred
• Excellent oral and written skills
• Spanish fluency strongly preferred but not required
• Good organizational and information-gathering skills
• Strong and versatile computer skills
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
