Library Assistant (Internal Applicants Only)

We are looking for a part-time Library Services Assistant to join our team at Ashby de la Zouch Library. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a high-quality, welcoming, and efficient library service to all customers, including supporting library users to find information and resources, assisting with IT systems, shelving and displaying books, and delivering library events.

Requirements

• Have an interest in reading, learning, and culture.
• Have experience of, and an interest in, digital technology including an ECDL or ITQ level 2 qualification or equivalent practical experience.
• Understand the importance of delivering a high level of customer service.
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to deliver events, activities, and taster sessions.
• Have good literacy and numeracy skills to undertake the duties of the role.
• Be able to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.
• Have good time management skills and the ability to work to deadlines.
