Youth Worker - Young Futures

We are seeking creative, passionate, and motivated child-centred youth workers to support children aged 10-17 years with a main area of attention for those aged 10-14. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate their commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of children.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
• Experience working with children and families
• Direct work with children and families in either case or group work situations
• Establishing and maintaining mentoring relationships including gathering and acting upon child's voice
• Developing and delivering training & group work
• Collaborating with children to co-design individual intervention plans and sessions
• Knowledge and experience of the issues faced by vulnerable children and families with complex needs
• Understanding of youth justice and safeguarding legislation
• Promoting the welfare of the child
• Experience of using case management systems, case recording, writing assessments and/or reports for children
• Significant experience of multi-agency working across services
