Responsible for assisting with network technician duties, including creating and updating tickets, monitoring network events, and analyzing alarms. Works in a 24x7x365 basis and requires expertise in network technologies such as routers, switches, and crypto devices.
Requirements
- Create and update tickets utilizing Remedy
- Monitor network events and element management failures in real-time
- Proactively analyze alarms and provide detailed analyses leading to resolution
- Isolate root causes and coordinate correction of fault situations
- Notify necessary points of contacts based on essential or heightened awareness networks, circuits or location incidents
- Support all customers to include providing global situational awareness support
- Correct/replace faulty network elements and verify service has been restored
- Restore networks and service to full operation
- Provide 24/7/365 sustainment support for outages, degradation of services and Tier 1/Tier 2 support
- Effectively communicates with the O&M team and the customer
