Network Engineer

Leidos is looking for a Lead Network Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automation solutions that improve the scalability, reliability, and efficiency of their network infrastructure. The ideal candidate has strong networking fundamentals combined with software development and automation expertise.

Requirements

• Design and implement enterprise-scale network automation platforms.
• Define the organization’s network automation strategy, standards, and best practices.
• Integrate automation with network platforms including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Collaborate with network engineers and security teams to improve operational efficiency.
• Provide technical expertise and assist with systems integration and consolidation efforts across multiple systems environments.
• Address and resolve technical problems of moderate complexity relating to the installation and upgrade of systems hardware and systems.
• Interface with customers, vendors, and other technical staff to analyze business and technical requirements.
• Engineer/implement technical solutions from a cradle to grave technical approach.
• Assist/train engineers in new technologies to better the organization’s technical expertise
• Document engineering standards, support the development of systems architecture and engineering designs and changes.
• Assist in evaluating current and emerging technologies, conduct technical assessments, and make recommendations to senior engineers.
