Network Security Operations Specialist

Leidos is seeking a Network Security Operations Specialist to support a high-impact, undisclosed network operations program. The role will involve providing advanced network support, guiding operators, and collaborating with engineering teams to keep mission systems secure, stable, and optimized.

Requirements

• Active DoD TS/SCI clearance
• Current DoD 8140-compliant security certification (IAT/IAM Level III equivalent)
• Ability to obtain required computing environment certification within 6 months
• At least 6 years of networking experience, with a focus on Juniper and Cisco systems
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, IP addressing, and subnetting
• Experience troubleshooting network issues across LAN and large WAN environments, including firewalls and network taps
• Proficiency with tools such as iPerf and Wireshark
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to respond quickly to real-time dataflow issues
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to support complex technical environments
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams
• Demonstrated ability to train and mentor personnel in technical and operational domains
