Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Acoustic Engineer to join our team at Leonardo DRS Naval Power Systems. As a subject matter expert in acoustic design and analysis, you will provide direct contributions to acoustic design performance considerations for multiple product lines, including Steam Turbines, Electric Motors, and Integral Blowers/Compressors. You will execute acoustic analysis on large rotating assemblies and develop innovative solutions to meet program requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or other suitable degree
- Minimum 5 years of experience in evaluating acoustic performance of turbo machinery assemblies
- Expert-level ability to perform Finite Element and Statistical Energy Analyses
- Experience in execution of acoustic testing and model validation
- Prior hands-on experience in evaluating model and physical test data
