Job Description
The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) role provides direct and indirect patient care under the direction of a Provider. They assist with appointment scheduling, maintain medical record documentation, and perform various tasks such as vaccine and medication administration, clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Completion of a medical assisting education program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs or its successor
- Current certification or registry in Medical Assisting from a certifying body approved by the Board of Medical Examiners and the Board of Nursing
- Basic Life Support certification (BLS)
