Job Description
The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) role provides direct and indirect patient care under the direction of a Provider, and performs various activities including patient intake, documentation, vaccine and medication administration, clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Successful completion of a medical assisting education program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs or its successor
- Current certification or registry in Medical Assisting from a certifying body offering a certification program approved by the Board of Medical Examiners and the Board of Nursing
- Basic Life Support certification (BLS)
