Job Description
The Hospice Volunteer provides direct patient/family care activities, or administrative support, within a hospice agency. This is a volunteer position with no pay associated and focuses on enhancing the quality of care. Responsibilities include paperwork, communication with the interdisciplinary team, and documentation.
Requirements
- Provide office support for direct patient care (teaching material, filing, mailings)
- Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner
- Accurately document services provided
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality
- Participate in in-services and annual training
- Submit timely renewable documentation
