Job Description
The Hospice Volunteer Assured Hospice is a volunteer position offering assistance to the hospice program and providing administrative support. Volunteers provide patient/family care activities, maintain confidentiality, and communicate changes in status, contributing to high-quality patient/family care.
Requirements
- Provides assistance to the hospice program and/or patient/family.
- Accurately documents services provided.
- Maintains strict patient confidentiality.
- Attends at least four (4) in-services per year.
- Participates in community outreach projects.
- Knowledge of the death and dying process (for Bereavement Volunteer).
