Job Description
The Hospice Volunteer at Heart of Hospice provides administrative, patient care, and community outreach assistance to support the hospice program and patient/family quality of care. They will accurately document patient encounters, communicate changes, and participate in in-services. This is a volunteer position with no pay associated with it.
Requirements
- Provide assistance to the hospice program
- Accurately document services provided
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality
- Participate in in-services
- Attend at least four in-services per year
- Communicate with assigned supervisor and administrator
- Provide respite care for family
- Assist with agency memorial services or activities
- Assist with community education on end-of-life issues
