Hospice Volunteer Heart of Hospice

This volunteer position provides a vital role in enhancing the quality of care delivered to patients and families through activities and administrative support. Volunteers are needed in several areas, including hospice programs, patient/family care, and community outreach. They are responsible for accurate documentation, maintaining patient confidentiality, and communicating changes in patient status to supervisors.

Requirements

• Provide assistance to the hospice program and/or patient/family.
• Accurately document services provided.
• Maintain patient confidentiality.
• Attend in-services annually.
• Participate in community outreach projects.
• Bereavement/Patient Care Volunteer: record accurate documentation.
• Administrative Volunteer: complete all assigned tasks.
