Job Description
Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp. seeks a Water Operator II to perform skilled and semi-skilled work in the construction, maintenance, and repair of water distribution systems and related facilities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Possession of a Grade D2 Distribution Operator Certificate issued by the SWRCB DDW, or ability to obtain within 18 months of hire
- Minimum of two years of related experience in water utility operations, construction, maintenance, or meter reading
- Valid California Class C driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Class A driver's license required
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
- Proficiency with communication devices and basic PC skills including Windows, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases
