Principal AI Security Engineer, AI Native Platform

Life360 is seeking a Principal AI Security Engineer to secure its AI infrastructure as it takes shape. The role requires both architectural depth and hands-on execution, often in the same week. The candidate will define the security architecture, guide the coherence of security patterns across teams, and ensure the trust model, authorization framework, data boundary topology, and threat model are in place. The position involves building AI supply chain integrity, securing the shared knowledge layer, and partnering with other teams to ensure controls are built into pipelines handling sensitive data.

Requirements

• 15+ years in security engineering with depth in application security, cloud security, IAM, or detection
• Security architecture ownership at the platform level
• Hands-on fluency with LLM and agentic systems
• Deep grounding in IAM for non-human systems
• Experience with production telemetry and detection at an architectural level
• Strong cross-functional communication across engineering, product, legal, privacy, and senior leadership
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
