Equipment Maintenance Technician - 1st Shift

As an Equipment Maintenance Technician, you will support Manufacturing Operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing filling and assembly equipment used to produce reagent consumables, working closely with the Manufacturing Engineering (ME) team. The role includes preventive maintenance, daily production support, electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic troubleshooting, and coordination with OEMs and management of critical spare parts to ensure equipment uptime, product quality, and GMP compliance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or technical trade school certificate required
• 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing, packaging, biotech, food & beverage, or similar environments
• Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using tools, fixtures, and mechanical assemblies
• Demonstrate safe work practices when using tools and working around electrical equipment
• Experience performing preventive maintenance and corrective equipment troubleshooting
• Basic electrical experience includes sensors, wiring checks, and low-voltage circuits
• Experience using HMIs and working around automated manufacturing equipment
• Associate degree in Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, Engineering Technology, or equivalent is preferred but not required
• Familiarity with electrical schematics and mechanical drawings for basic troubleshooting and maintenance tasks
• Solid troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently and escalate issues appropriately
• Strong communication skills with operators, engineers, and OEMs
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) for documentation, communication, and maintenance recordkeeping
• Willingness to learn new skills, equipment, and technologies as manufacturing equipment and processes evolve
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Ability to routinely lift to 50 lbs., work standing for extended periods, and use ladders or hand tools as needed
