Job Description
Lightmatter is seeking an experienced Opto-Mechanical Engineer to join our Laser and Photonics Packaging Team. The role involves leading the optical and mechanical design, component selection, and packaging of next-generation laser and photonics modules, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Optical Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in opto-mechanical design
- Hands-on experience with Zemax for optical design
- Hands-on experience with SolidWorks for 3D modeling
- Experience collaborating with suppliers and OSATs from prototyping to volume production
