Automation Technician

The Automation Technician is responsible for line improvements, line automation, realignment of product flow equipment and machinery in conjunction with Engineering and Maintenance. The role involves working with manufacturing engineer, project engineers, and program managers to reduce costs and remove non-value added material from productions lines.

Requirements

• Work with manufacturing engineer, project engineers, and program managers to reduce costs and remove non-value added material from productions lines.
• Work with program managers and project engineers at the APQP stage of a program start-up.
• Troubleshoot process automation problems.
• Perform regular housekeeping duties.
• Work within QS9000 procedures and requirements.
• Perform root cause analysis failure.
• Maintain updated and controlled Plc program database.
• Maintain equipment documentation updated.
• Participate in meetings with supervisors, co-workers and employees to plan upcoming activities and to update projects.
