Provide support in the design, fabrication, modification and evaluation of manufacturing operations to optimize production output, reduce costs and increase part quality. Develop sequence of operations, estimate time requirements and prepare operation sheets, work instructions and troubleshoot manufacturing and quality issues.
Requirements
- University degree or diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or equivalent
- Licensing by a provincial or territorial association of Professional Engineers (P.Eng.) considered an asset
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a machining or manufacturing environment in an engineering role
- Previous experience within machine processes, cutting tools, fixtures, CNC and special purpose equipment
- Ability to write comprehensive entries into technical logbooks
- Experience with risk analysis and failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA)
- Experience with the use of statistical analysis software and computer-assisted design, manufacturing and machining
