The Set-Up Technician (SUT) ensures the quality of products through proper set up of machines and tools. The SUT engages in safety leadership and ensures company safety protocols are being observed. The ideal SUT needs to possess sound understanding of machines and machining principles, and assist, and train other operators as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot machines and equipment
- Knowledge of manufacturing process of assembly and machining
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting when needed
- Ability to learn new specifications and procedures through on-the-job training and experience
- Able to communicate both verbally and written forms to various levels within the organization
