Job Description
The Building Engineer I is responsible for maintaining and operating building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. This role involves performing routine maintenance, responding to tenant requests, ensuring safety, and collaborating with senior engineers and technicians. The engineer will also provide guidance to junior technicians and contribute to professional development.
Requirements
- HS Diploma or GED
- Two to three years of job related experience or relevant certification/trade experience
- CFC Certification preferred (willingness to obtain) or trade licenses required
- Basic working knowledge of laptop and phone applications
- Familiarity with fire/life safety equipment
- Proven customer service skills
- Familiarity with blueprints and code
- Ability to work after hours/weekends
