Building Engineer

This Building Engineer I is responsible for maintaining, operating, and troubleshooting building systems like HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, focusing on routine maintenance and tenant support. The role involves responding to tenant requests, ensuring systems operate safely, and working closely with senior engineers. The position requires interaction with tenants, contractors, and property managers, and adherence to safety protocols.

Requirements

• HS Diploma or GED required
• Two to three years of job related experience or commensurate certification/trade experience
• CFC Certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Basic working knowledge of laptop and phone applications
• Basic skills with Microsoft Outlook
• Familiarity with blueprints and code requirements
• Ability to work after hours and weekends
• Familiarity with fire/life safety equipment/procedures
• Proven track record for delivering excellent customer service
