We are seeking a Senior Channel Manager to join our Agency (Sport) team to lead the evolution of an iconic sports broadcaster's YouTube platform presence.
Requirements
- Platform Mastery: Extensive knowledge of the latest YouTube algorithms, publishing tools, and best practices for driving long-form watch time and short-form reach.
- Editorial Excellence: An eye for identifying authentic hooks and the ability to editorialise high-profile sporting content for a YouTube-first audience.
- Audience Centricity: A deep understanding of Gen Alpha, Gen Z and under-25 viewing habits, with the ability to identify formats that resonate with audiences.
- Stakeholder Upskilling: Experience working in a consultancy or advisory capacity to help traditional content producers adapt their output for YouTube-native audiences.
- Operational Leadership: The ability to manage complex internal workflows and scale operational support during high-pressure, global tentpole sporting events.
- Proven Platform Track Record: Experience managing and growing major YouTube channels, with a demonstrated ability to drive subscriber viewership and deeper engagement.
- Analytics-Driven Optimisation: Deep expertise in using platform analytics to drive editorial decisions, specifically focusing on audience retention graphs, average view duration, and click-through rate (CTR) optimisation.
- Production Insight: Experience informing the development of original YouTube content series, including visual podcasts, behind-the-scenes access, and interactive live formats.
- Local Presence: Ability to reach client's offices, attend regular in-person touch-points, and join leadership meetings in Salford, GB.
