Job Description
The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for the overall integrity and accuracy of the accounting and financial operations for the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians Tribal Government. This includes supervision of staff, performing accounting and financial work, and establishing policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting
- Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience at an Accounting Manager or Controller level
- In-depth knowledge of laws and regulations relevant to Tribal Government operations
- Financial management experience with direct responsibility for compliance
- Advanced knowledge of general accounting principles and practices, automated accounting systems and applicable software applications, and financial record keeping and reporting procedures
