Roadway Engineering Division Manager

Lochmueller Group is seeking an experienced professional civil engineering leader to serve as the Roadway Division Manager for our Roadway Design team in Illinois. The role will oversee and be responsible for all of the roadway design team's projects and staff for the State of Illinois, ensuring the division's operational strategies and financial decisions are executed effectively and align with the overall strategies of the discipline and the firm.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
• Typically requires 20+ years of progressive experience in Roadway/Highway design engineering with demonstrated leadership capabilities
• Extensive experience working on roadway design projects with IDOT and other Illinois municipalities
• Extensive knowledge of industry trends and best practices
• Strong analytical skills and business acumen to make informed decisions regarding resource allocation and financial management
• Progressive ability, capacity, and aptitude in administration to plan, organize, direct, and coordinate technical work and to obtain cooperation from others
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
