Senior Traffic Engineer

Lochner is seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, 15+ years of traffic engineering design and operations experience, and a Professional Traffic Engineering License in California. The Senior Traffic Engineer will serve as a staff specialist in the application of advanced traffic engineering theories and concepts, and will be responsible for reviewing construction plans, design calculations, and specifications. The candidate must be capable of analyzing technical aspects of traffic engineering, identifying issues and applying suitable solutions, and recommending design changes.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
• 15+ years of traffic engineering design and operations experience
• Professional Traffic Engineering License in California required
• Desirable Professional Civil Engineering License in California
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite, Synchro, and Bluebeam
• Advanced knowledge of relevant design standards and guidelines
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Commitment to working with the marketing team to support project pursuits
