The Physical Therapist will partner with Early Learning programs to coordinate the needs of early learning programs, provide training and education on delays, disabilities and challenging behaviors to teachers, families, and the community.
Requirements
- Evaluate children on an individual basis
- Communicate the results of the assessment/screening as directed
- Determine each child's adaptive equipment/orthopedic equipment and/or assistive technology needs
- Conduct individual therapy to maintain or enhance speech and language abilities
- Provide training to improve/maintain feeding and pre-feeding skills
- Communicate with staff and families regarding results of the evaluation, treatment and progress
- Provide parent training and suggestions for home programming
- Keep daily progress notes, make quarterly reports, and maintain records of evaluations, homevisits, etc.
- Turn in timesheet every other week, and mileage and attendance sheet on the last day of each month
- Attend workshops and conferences to increase professional effectiveness
