A research associate position is available in a pathobiology laboratory dealing with oysters. The position will involve conducting laboratory and field studies to test and select oysters for their resistance to dermo disease.
Requirements
- Hold a B.S. in biological sciences or a related field
- Have experience in some, or preferably all, of the following: field experience in estuarine habitats, maintenance of saltwater recirculating systems, cell culture aseptic techniques, and motivation and initiative to work with little supervision
- Be able to work independently, create work plans, meet deadlines, and work in difficult environments
