Payroll Accountant

The Payroll Accountant is responsible for end-to-end payroll processing, accurate allocation of payroll-related costs, and compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax requirements. This role ensures payroll, labor burden, and workers’ compensation costs are properly recorded in the general ledger, job cost reports, and work-in-progress schedules.

Requirements

• 3+ years of payroll accounting experience in a construction or job-costing environment
• Demonstrated experience processing payroll and posting payroll, labor burden, and workers’ compensation costs to the general ledger and job cost systems
• Strong understanding of construction job costing, payroll accruals, labor burden, and workers’ compensation allocations, and GAAP as it relates to labor costs, WIP, and financial reporting
